"Agriculture" and "Education" are the two key features of our school. Regarding agriculture, the highlight is the development of new food and agricultural service technology in the "Food and Agriculture Industry Education and Research Center" and the "Intelligent Agriculture Research Center." We will continue to develop agricultural robots, intelligent bee detection, pheromone control, rapid pesticide residue tests, traceable agricultural products, and intelligent optimization of nutritional therapy, and furthermore, to carry out value-added services of the food and agriculture industry and to cultivate new agricultural talent.
Apart from continuing to implement the previous annual plan, we will continue to revise the school's laws and regulations to establish a more rigorous and reasonable performance evaluation mechanism in 2021-2022. Additionally, based on the Food and Agriculture Industry Education and Research Center and the “Intelligent Agriculture Research Center,” we will continue to optimize our current agricultural research projects, and expand value-added platform service items and functions. Moreover, we also will continue to promote three elite education programs in the food and agriculture industry, effectively connecting talent cultivation in NCYU with HESP, university features, and university social responsibility. Furthermore, with the UAVs chapter of the civil aviation act & regulations implemented in 2020, the license test and technical operation training courses of remote-controlled UAV have been established. Additionally, the application field of intelligent agriculture technology will be built in accordance with the needs of the industry, in order to promote NCYU intelligent agriculture technologies as well as student interests through practical courses and cooperative industry-university research activities. Finally, we will continue to publish pictorial literature of food and agricultural education, assist in the promotion of regional food and agriculture education, and eventually establish NCYU as a regional platform for the transfer and exchange of scientific knowledge.
Regarding educational features, we will continue to support the development of local science education with the school's faculty and resources, becoming a backup force for K-12 science education and spreading scientific knowledge to more students, in order to fulfill the school's vision of becoming a center of knowledge in the greater Chiayi-Yunlin-Tainan region.
